BEST NEWS STORY

All three packages submitted by the WTHS Media are excellent and could be broadcast on local TV today. I chose Mask Mandate as the first winner because the reporter did an excellent job in explaining a lot of important information, interviewing a lot of different sources, and shooting compelling video. A lot of work went into producing this and it shows. Well done!

BEST SPORTS STORY

WINNER: Sarah Buzzell — Tupelo HS

Great story, great characters, and an interesting take on sports. We always tend to focus on the athletes, but I think that fans are just as important. Technically, the story was well done – had a lot of compelling shots and a lot of photos, but I think that the main character definitely carries the story, and this speaks to the fact that who you feature and interview in your stories definitely matters. Well done!
